Empire Cinemas Limited
Issued March 1st 2006

Please read these General Terms of Admission carefully. They set out the general legal terms applicable to the purchase of a ticket and to your subsequent visit to an Empire Cinema.

Age related restrictions
Film Classification Prior to purchasing a ticket you must check the classification issued by the British Board of Film Classification or local authority for your selected film. This will normally be displayed on this website in Film Classifications, at our box office, on our Film Information boards and on the Film Listings available from us. We are required to refuse admission to any person who is below the minimum age required by the relevant classification. In case of doubt the manager on duty will request proof of age from you and, at his discretion, may refuse entry, if you are unable to establish your age to his or her satisfaction.

In some circumstances we place tickets on sale prior to the classification being issued. Such sale is conditional on you meeting the minimum age required by the classification when issued. If you have purchased a ticket in these circumstances but are below the minimum age ultimately required by the classification, Empire Cinemas Limited cannot admit you to see the film, but we will issue a full refund of the ticket purchased excluding the card handling fee.

Children Children under the age of 12 will not be admitted after 7 pm unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Change of Programme
Whilst we endeavour to show films in accordance with the advertised programme there may be instances where we are unable to comply with the advertised programme. In these circumstances our liability to you is limited to a full refund of the ticket purchased.

Food, Alcohol and Smoking
Only food purchased at the cinema may be consumed within the cinema. In cinemas where we sell alcoholic drinks, these may only be consumed within the licensed area. Otherwise alcoholic drinks may not be brought into the cinema. You are required to observe all "No Smoking" restrictions.

Mobile Phones
Except where specifically requested mobile phones must be switched off in the auditorium.

Health and Safety
Our health and safety procedures, guidelines and instructions are for the safety of both you and our other guests and you must adhere to them. To avoid disturbance to our other guests, admission after the performance has started may be restricted.

We reserve the right to refuse admission or require you to leave the premises without a refund if you behave in an anti-social or threatening manner; put the safety of our other guests, our employees or our property at risk; or otherwise breach these General Terms of Admission.

Film Theft
It is a serious criminal offence to copy or attempt to copy any film or other copyright material exhibited in the auditorium. Such crime is punishable on conviction with an unlimited fine and imprisonment of up to a maximum of 10 years.

You are not permitted to bring a cameras and/or recording equipment of any kind into the cinema.

We reserve the right to amend these General Terms of Admission from time to time without notice.
